Terms of Service
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Plain-English summary:
- TestersWiz connects developers with genuine human testers for Google Play closed testing. We verify participation; we do not and cannot guarantee Google will grant production access.
- Testing is free. Listing an app is free and testing an app earns nothing. Testers are obtained by reciprocal trades (you test another developer's app, they test yours) or by volunteers. Tester seats are never for sale. Trade Credits are a participation record with no monetary value, earned by testing and never purchasable — and trades never cost any. Disputes are reviewed by a human administrator.
- There is one optional paid thing: a premium membership covering tooling around the service. You buy it once — there is no renewal and no recurring charge — and it buys nothing that affects testing — no seats, no priority, no faster matching, no badges. Section 6.
- Testers are independent participants, not employees or contractors, and participate voluntarily.
- One account per person. Fraud leads to suspension.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and TestersWiz ("TestersWiz", "we", "us"). TestersWiz is currently operated by an independent developer based in the United States; if operation transfers to a company we form, that company will assume these Terms and we will announce the change. By creating an account or using TestersWiz (the "Service"), you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You may hold one tester account only; operating multiple tester accounts is prohibited.
2. The Service
TestersWiz is a marketplace that connects Android developers who need testers for Google Play closed testing ("Developers") with people willing to test their apps ("Testers"). A single account may act in both roles, but you may never test your own campaigns.
Developers list a campaign for free. Its tester seats are filled either by a reciprocal "trade" (two developers each agree to test the other's app) or by a Tester who volunteers with nothing expected in return. Testers opt in through Google Play with the Google account they registered, keep the app installed for the campaign window, and submit periodic screenshot check-ins as evidence of participation.
Testers are independent users of the platform. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or contractor relationship between TestersWiz and any user, or between Developers and Testers.
3. Developer obligations
- Provide accurate app information (name, package ID, opt-in URL) and a working closed-testing track.
- Only submit apps whose content is lawful and complies with Google Play's Developer Program Policies. Apps containing malware, deceptive behavior, or illegal content are prohibited and will be removed.
- Verify tester opt-ins promptly and confirm or dispute the campaign within a reasonable time after day 14. Disputes must be made in good faith with specific reasons.
- Compliance with Google Play policies remains solely your responsibility (see Section 8).
4. Tester obligations
- Participate genuinely: opt in with the exact Google account you registered, install the app on a real Android device you own, use it during the campaign window, and submit authentic, unedited screenshots from that device.
- No emulators, no automation, no account sharing, and no more than one tester account per person.
- Dropping out mid-campaign affects your public rating. If your seat came from a trade, dropping out fails the trade and records a strike against you.
5. Testing is free. Trade Credits are not money.
Testing is free, in both directions, and always will be. Listing an app costs nothing. Testing an app earns nothing. We do not charge Developers for tester seats and we do not pay Testers for testing. No payment of any kind affects who gets a seat, how quickly a campaign fills, where a listing appears, or any reputation signal on the Service.
Tester seats cannot be bought. They are earned by reciprocal trade or filled by volunteers. We will not sell them, and you may not pay another user for a seat, a check-in, a review, or an opt-in. Doing so is grounds for termination under section 10, and it is separately prohibited by Google Play's policies — the risk of which falls on your app, not ours.
Memberships. We offer an optional paid membership covering tooling around the Service, set out in section 6. It is entirely separate from the testing exchange described above, and buying one changes nothing about it.
Trade Credits. Trade Credits are a record of participation. They have no monetary value, are not property, and cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, exchanged for cash, or redeemed for anything outside the Service. They are earned only — by completing a test for another Developer — and may be modified, expired, or revoked at any time, including where we believe they were obtained through fraud or abuse. There is no way to buy them, and we will never offer one.
Credits are required only to admit a volunteer tester to your campaign. Reciprocal trades never cost Credit, so a Developer with no Credits can still fill a campaign in full.
Trades. The primary way to obtain testers is a reciprocal trade: two Developers agree that each will test the other's app. Accepting a trade creates a testing commitment on both sides. If a party fails to hold up their side — dropping out, failing to opt in, withholding opt-in verification, or cancelling the relevant campaign — the trade fails, the other party is released from their commitment, and a "strike" is recorded against the party at fault. Repeated strikes within a rolling window may temporarily suspend your ability to start new trades.
Cancellation. While a campaign is recruiting, the Developer may cancel it at any time; applicants and trade partners are released. Cancelling a campaign that a live trade depends on counts as failing that trade.
6. Premium membership
What it is. A premium membership is an optional, one-time purchase that unlocks tooling around the Service. What it includes today is the security and compliance prompt library, and that is the whole of it — the membership page is the authoritative list, it names anything still being built as not included, and you should buy on what it says is available rather than on what is planned. If we add something we will say so; if we remove something material, section 12 applies.
What it is not. A membership does not provide tester seats, priority in the marketplace, faster matching, a higher tester or campaign cap, badges, reputation, or leaderboard position. Nothing about testing behaves differently because you pay us. If you are buying in the expectation that it will get your app tested faster, do not buy it.
One payment. No subscription. A membership is bought once. There is no recurring charge, no automatic renewal, and nothing to cancel. We will not store your card for future billing and we will not charge you again. The price is shown before you pay; payment is processed by Stripe, and we never receive or store your card details.
How long it lasts. Access is tied to your account and does not expire on a date. If we discontinue the membership entirely, section 12 applies and we will give you notice; if we do so within twelve months of your purchase we will refund you in full.
EU/UK right to cancel within 14 days. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving a reason. At checkout you are asked to confirm that you want access immediately and that you understand you lose that right once we have supplied the content. If you would rather keep the right, do not open the members' material for 14 days and email us to withdraw — a clear statement is enough and we will refund you in full.
Refunds. Beyond that statutory right: if the membership did not work as described, or you were charged in error or by accident, email us and we will refund you. We would rather do that than argue. Otherwise fees already paid are non-refundable.
Price changes. We may change the price for future purchases. A change never affects a purchase already made — you are not billed again, so there is nothing for a new price to apply to. If the price goes down after you buy, that is simply the price for the next person; we do not refund the difference.
Suspension. If we suspend your membership other than for a breach by you, we will refund you in full. If we terminate your account for a breach of these Terms, no refund is due.
Taxes. Prices are shown exclusive of any sales tax, VAT or GST unless stated otherwise. Where we are required to collect it, it is calculated and added at checkout.
Security, accessibility and compliance guidance. The security and compliance prompts are educational guidance you run yourself against your own code. They are not a penetration test, a security audit, a certification, or legal advice, and no result they produce is a warranty that your app is secure, accessible, or compliant with any law. They improve over time and will still miss things: no automated review, ours included, finds every vulnerability. You remain responsible for your own application, and for obtaining professional security and legal advice where your circumstances call for it. Any code, configuration or policy change you make in response to that guidance is your decision and your responsibility, and you should test it before deploying it. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any vulnerability, outage, data loss, regulatory finding or claim arising from your use of — or your reliance on — this guidance. Section 11 applies to it in full.
7. Prohibited conduct
- Fraud of any kind: fake or manipulated screenshots, claiming participation that did not happen, collusion between accounts, or self-dealing between a developer and tester identity.
- Rating or review manipulation on Google Play. TestersWiz never asks testers to rate, review, or install apps outside a closed test, and paying for ratings or reviews through the Service is prohibited.
- Farming Trade Credits: creating additional accounts, arranging reciprocal sham tests, or otherwise minting Credit for testing that did not genuinely happen. Buying, selling, or transferring Credits is prohibited and technically impossible — there is no mechanism for it, and offering to do so off-platform is grounds for termination.
- Circumventing Google Play policies, or using the Service to misrepresent testing activity to Google.
- Harassment or abuse of other users or of TestersWiz staff, scraping the Service, or interfering with its operation.
8. Your content, and the licence you give us
You own what you submit. App names, descriptions, screenshots, feedback, messages and profile text remain yours. We claim no ownership of any of it.
The licence. You grant TestersWiz a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute the content you submit, for the purpose of operating, improving and promoting the Service. Sublicensable matters only because content is served through a CDN and may appear in link previews when someone shares a page.
Public listings are opt-in. A listing gets a public, search-indexable page only if you choose one when creating it, and you can turn it off. We will not publish an existing listing because we later added the feature. Your opt-in link and tester Google Group are never shown publicly. Search engines may cache a page for some time after you unpublish it, which is outside our control.
Video reviews. When you list an app, the listing form offers you a choice about whether we may publish a video review — a “roast” — of that app on YouTube, Instagram or TikTok. The box is ticked by default and you can untick it before you submit; if you leave it ticked, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to record, edit and publish such a review, including footage of the app in use and its name and icon. It covers only apps you listed after agreeing, applies only to the three networks named above, and is not reversible from your account — a published video cannot be un-published by a setting. If you want a review taken down or your permission ended, contact us and a person will action it. We will not publish a review of an app listed before this term existed, or of one you unticked.
You warrant that you own or are licensed for everything you submit, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that it complies with these Terms. You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your content.
Removal. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or on valid legal notice — see the DMCA process and the Moderation Policy. We do not silently edit your words.
After you leave. Deleting your account removes your public presence. Content already woven into another user's record — a message in a shared thread, feedback on someone else's app — is anonymised and kept rather than deleted, because removing one side of a conversation makes the other side incoherent and destroys the evidence trail a dispute may depend on. Ledger and audit records are retained with a pseudonymous identifier.
9. No guarantee of outcomes
Google alone decides whether an app is granted production access. TestersWiz provides verified human testing and evidence of it — nothing more. We make no representation or warranty that completing a campaign will satisfy Google's requirements or result in approval, and refunds are not owed based on Google's decisions. Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC; TestersWiz is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, show credible signs of fraud, or create risk for other users or for the platform. Where practical we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
If you delete your account, your campaigns, enrollments, and trades are removed. Because nothing on the Service has monetary value, nothing is owed to you on suspension or deletion.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TestersWiz's total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of one hundred US dollars ($100) and the total amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill.
You agree to indemnify TestersWiz against claims arising from your content, your apps, or your breach of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including statutory consumer rights in your country of residence.
12. Changes, governing law, and contact
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware — except that if mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring claims in your local courts, nothing in these Terms takes that right away.
