Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and TesterWiz ("TesterWiz", "we", "us"). TesterWiz is currently operated by an independent developer based in the United States; if operation transfers to a company we form, that company will assume these Terms and we will announce the change. By creating an account or using TesterWiz (the "Service"), you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You may hold one tester account only; operating multiple tester accounts is prohibited.

TesterWiz is a marketplace that connects Android developers who need testers for Google Play closed testing ("Developers") with people willing to test their apps ("Testers"). A single account may act in both roles, but you may never test your own campaigns.

Developers post a campaign by redeeming credits, which are held on our internal ledger until the campaign completes or is cancelled. Testers apply, opt in through Google Play with the Google account they registered, keep the app installed for the campaign window, and submit periodic screenshot check-ins as evidence of participation.

Testers are independent users of the platform. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, partnership, or contractor relationship between TesterWiz and any user, or between Developers and Testers.

• Provide accurate app information (name, package ID, opt-in URL) and a working closed-testing track.
• Only submit apps whose content is lawful and complies with Google Play's Developer Program Policies. Apps containing malware, deceptive behavior, or illegal content are prohibited and will be removed.
• Verify tester opt-ins promptly and confirm or dispute the campaign within a reasonable time after day 14. Disputes must be made in good faith with specific reasons.
• Compliance with Google Play policies remains solely your responsibility (see Section 7).

• Participate genuinely: opt in with the exact Google account you registered, install the app on a real Android device you own, use it during the campaign window, and submit authentic, unedited screenshots from that device.
• No emulators, no automation, no account sharing, and no more than one tester account per person.
• Dropping out mid-campaign forfeits the credit for that campaign and affects your public rating.

No payments. The Service is free. We do not charge money, collect payment details, or pay money to anyone. The Service runs entirely on credits: every new account receives a one-time starting grant of randomized size (within the range shown at signup), testing one app to completion earns the posted seat value (currently 3 credits, paid in milestones across the required check-ins and completion confirmation), and posting a campaign costs the posted rate (currently 36 credits, with a partial "half-down" posting option that unlocks tester seats in proportion to credits paid). We may offer promotional bonus credits (for example on early completions or during tester shortages) at our discretion. Credits for testing are earned only for verified participation, including the required screenshot check-ins; credits paid for a check-in that is later found fraudulent may be reversed.

Credits are not money. Credits have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold, transferred, or redeemed for anything other than campaigns on the Service. We may adjust earn and spend rates prospectively; changes never reduce a balance you already hold. Credits are void where prohibited.

Returns. While a campaign is recruiting, the Developer may cancel it and the credits are returned in full. After the 14-day window starts, returns are at our discretion and generally granted only where the campaign cannot run as described. Once a campaign completes and testers are credited, those credits are spent.

• Fraud of any kind: fake or manipulated screenshots, claiming participation that did not happen, collusion between accounts, or self-dealing between a developer and tester identity.
• Rating or review manipulation on Google Play. TesterWiz never asks testers to rate, review, or install apps outside a closed test, and paying for ratings or reviews through the Service is prohibited.
• Circumventing Google Play policies, or using the Service to misrepresent testing activity to Google.
• Harassment or abuse of other users or of TesterWiz staff, scraping the Service, or interfering with its operation.

Google alone decides whether an app is granted production access. TesterWiz provides verified human testing and evidence of it — nothing more. We make no representation or warranty that completing a campaign will satisfy Google's requirements or result in approval, and refunds are not owed based on Google's decisions. Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC; TesterWiz is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, show credible signs of fraud, or create risk for other users or for the platform. Where practical we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

If your account is terminated for fraud, associated credits are forfeited. If you delete your account, unredeemed credits are forfeited — they have no cash value and nothing is owed for them.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. The Service is free of charge; to the maximum extent permitted by law, TesterWiz's total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill.

You agree to indemnify TesterWiz against claims arising from your content, your apps, or your breach of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including statutory consumer rights in your country of residence.

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware — except that if mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring claims in your local courts, nothing in these Terms takes that right away.
