Community Guidelines

Last updated: July 29, 2026

TestersWiz works because two strangers agree to a fortnight of obligation to each other. That only holds if people behave predictably, so these are the rules — written as plainly as we can manage.

These guidelines sit alongside the Terms of Service, which is the binding agreement. Where they differ, the Terms govern. How we enforce them is in the Moderation Policy.

1. Test honestly

  • Install the app on a real device with a real Google account, and keep it installed for the full 14 days. This is the entire product.
  • Do not use emulators, automation, or accounts you created solely to take a seat. One account per person.
  • Do not fabricate evidence. Screenshots must be of the app you were enrolled to test, taken on the day claimed.
  • If you cannot finish, drop out early and say so. An honest exit on day two costs the developer far less than silence until day 14, and it is treated far more leniently.

2. Honour your trades

  • Answer trade requests. Silence is the marketplace's worst failure mode — it is why your response rate is public.
  • Verify your partner's opt-in promptly once they have opted in. They cannot start their 14 days until you do.
  • Do not dispute a partner who did the work. Disputing is for genuine non-participation, and every dispute is reviewed by a human.

3. Write listings people can act on

  • Describe what your app actually does and what you want tested. "Please test my app" wastes everyone's time.
  • Only list apps you have the right to distribute, whose content is lawful, and which comply with Google Play's Developer Program Policies.
  • No malware, no deceptive behaviour, no content you would not want attached to your own developer account.
  • Do not put email addresses, phone numbers, or off-platform contact details in a listing. Use the built-in chat — an off-platform conversation cannot be reviewed if the trade goes wrong, which is exactly when you will want it to be.

4. Never involve ratings or reviews

This one is not a preference. Google Play's policies prohibit manipulating ratings and reviews, and the penalty falls on the developer's account, not on us.

  • Never ask a tester to rate or review your app on Google Play, in a listing, in chat, or anywhere else.
  • Never offer anything in exchange for a rating, a review, or an install outside a closed test.
  • Feedback about an app belongs on TestersWiz, where it helps you and endangers nobody.

Asking for ratings through this service is grounds for immediate termination, and we would rather lose the user than the users around them.

5. Treat people decently

  • No harassment, threats, slurs, or abuse — in chat, in feedback, or in a dispute.
  • No spam, advertising, referral links, or recruiting for other services.
  • Do not share anyone's personal information, including a screenshot that exposes someone else's email, messages, or location. Check your screenshots before uploading.
  • Criticism of an app is welcome and useful. Criticism of a person is not.

6. Do not game the system

  • No additional accounts, no coordinating sham tests between accounts you control, no farming Trade Credit for testing that did not happen.
  • Trade Credits cannot be bought, sold, or transferred. Offering to do so off-platform is grounds for termination.
  • Do not scrape the service, circumvent rate limits, or attempt to reach data you have no relationship with.

7. Reporting something

Every campaign and every user carries a report control. Use it — it reaches a human, and reports are how we see problems we cannot detect automatically.

For anything urgent, or where a report control does not fit, email [email protected]. For copyright specifically, follow the DMCA process.

Reporting in bad faith — to remove a competitor, or in retaliation for a dispute — is itself a violation. Reports require a real relationship with the campaign for exactly this reason.
